This resource highlights the role of insurance in the aftermath of a natural disaster.
By focusing on four examples of Canadian disasters: the Quebec ice storm, hurricane
Juan, the Peterborough floods, and the Kelowna wildfires, students will gain an understanding
of the cause and effect relationships between human activity and the environment,
the impact of natural disasters have on communities and how they recover from the damages.
