Insurance is already part of everything you do.

Find your career in it.

Join us on campus or in the communities you are targeting...

Career Connections has the potential to reach upwards of 180,000 individuals every year at career events on campus and in communities across the country. The vast majority of these events are held September to June and include outreach to high school students, post-secondary students and career changers.

When thinking about your own recruitment strategy, you may find it helpful to consult the Career Connections Calendar of Events  as a starting point for career events taking place in your region.

Insurance Specific Programming

Each year, Career Connections also hosts or participates in events  which are insurance specific. These include networking events, panel presentations and industry career fairs. Insurance organizations in attendance have found these to be an effective tool in identifying potential candidates, building employer brand and industry awareness, establishing relationships with campus and community career centres, and networking. Events hosted by Career Connections are available at no-cost to your organization.  View Events Calendar

Planning for these events is on-going and invitations are sent out to industry stakeholders in the months leading up to each event. Please e-mail cconnections@insuranceinstitute.ca to ensure you are on the distribution list for future events!

Should you have an idea for an event or key region that you would like Career Connections to consider outreach to, please do not hesitate to connect with us to discuss it in greater detail.

Feed the Minds of Youth

Each year on the first Wednesday in November, employees across Canada will introduce their grade nine sons and daughters to their places of work during The Learning Partnership’s annual Take Our Kids to Work Day. This event provides grade nine students the opportunity to be introduced to the career of a parent or guardian and to learn a bit about what different industries and companies have to offer.

To complement this event, the Insurance Institute hosts Feed The Minds of Youth events across Canada at the Institute's local institutes and chapters as well as provides event-in-a-box kits to support organizations in hosting their own event. In 2016 over 1000 students participated across Canada. Learn more about participating in this event.
