Maybe you've thought about what kind of job you want. Or maybe you haven't. But one thing is for sure . . . you will have more success and happiness if you find a career that values who you are, what you like doing and the talents you have
When you are thinking about your career options, it can be easy to forget about the work and volunteer experiences you have had so far. In a word, don’t. Don’t discount the knowledge, skills and approaches to work that you may have gained from being on student council, working in a store, participating in a co-op or making coffee as a barista. Believe it or not, you have been laying the foundation for success in your future career. Though you may not have always loved what you are doing in these roles, they can give you transferable skills that can be applied to what you are interested in and what you are good at in the future.
Consider
Your job, what you were responsible for and the results you achieved. Also, ask yourself what you liked about working or volunteering there? What you were good at? Wanted to do next (eg. become president of student council, become a key holder at the store or work as a supervisor)? These are all important elements to consider when mapping out your plan to connect to a rewarding career.

These examples are just the beginning. Consider your own experiences and how they might apply to a career in insurance. Be sure to follow that same process for each career path that you are interested in. Just because it was not mentioned here, does not necessarily mean it doesn’t apply.
